TURQUM Quality Mark Promoted in the Industry Ministry

A delegation, which comprised Mr. Adnan DALGAKIRAN, President of the Executive Board of the Union of Exporters of Machinery and Accessories, Deputy Presidents Mr. Serol ACARKAN and Mr. Kutlu KARAVELIOĞLU, Mr. Mehmet ŞANAL, a member of the Executive Board, and Mr. Özkan AYDIN, Secretary General, paid a visit to Industry and Trade Minister Nihat ERGÜN in his office on November 10, 2010.

During the visit in which views were exchanged on the Product Compliance Mark, TURQUM ®, which is a quality mark in the mechanical sector, his Excellency the Minister referred to the importance of the mechanical sector for the national economy, noting that this sector must be the focal point of technological development and that the image of the country could be positively consolidated thanks to such companies performing quality production in the mechanical industry. In addition, also emphasizing that the quality mark, TURQUM ® must be supported, he stated that the subject project was included in the Turkish Mechanical Industry Strategy Document.
